Hello, WE ARE MIKA & nate

Here is a short little bit about us. Mika grew up with photography, so her love for photos came from her dad. Nate found an interest in photography when his brother left his old camera in Nate's care. Our worlds came together in 2019 when we both served at our local church and became best friends. Nate joining the business officially in 2021 was the best addition ever!


We can't imagine not working with each other. We absolutely love what we do! Nate is our talented musician and foodie, while Mika is the dessert queen and barefoot kind of person. Together, we love Jesus, adventure, coffee, and board games—and we are very competitive!

Mika

Photographer

Mika is the embodiment of joy and determination, with a heart as big as her love for Jesus and a knack for making everyone around her feel special.

When she's not leading worship alongside me at our church, you'll find her showering affection on her beloved pet bunny, Liefie. Mika is an amazing partner, friend, and wife. We can talk for hours about anything and everything under the sun. Oh, and when it comes to dessert, she's as predictable as they come – vanilla ice cream all the way, with a weakness for waffles.

Nate is a genuine soul with an unparalleled warmth that draws people in effortlessly. His relationship with Jesus is at the core of who he is. Nate's faith is not just a belief but a lived reality. Food is Nate's love language. Witnessing him savour a delicious meal is akin to watching a child with a new toy.  Nate is a multi-talented individual, excelling in videography, design, research, and music. His true passion lies in creating musical masterpieces. To me, he is the ultimate problem-solver, always going above and beyond with unwavering dedication.

why we do photography

 

We love photography because it’s more than just taking pictures—it’s capturing emotion, freezing time, and preserving stories that deserve to be felt over and over again. Mika grew up with a camera in hand, trailing behind her dad at weddings, unknowingly shaping her future one shutter click at a time. She turned doubt into drive, proving that passion, not permission, defines an artist. Nate discovered photography through his brother’s hand-me-down camera, and even while designing in the world of industrial creativity, photography remained his most personal form of expression. Together, we’ve captured moments that meant the world to someone—final smiles before goodbyes, the fresh breath of newborn life, and love so powerful it moves people to tears. That’s why we do what we do. Because these moments matter. Because people matter. Our clients aren’t just sessions on a calendar—they become a part of our story, just as we become part of theirs.
